RNGdle — the daily random-number rarity game

RNGdle makes randomness itself the puzzle: a number is rolled, and the game is predicting how rare it is. Our original take, Dawn Roll, deals one number between 0 and 1,000,000 every day — call its tier before the reveal.

What is RNGdle?

RNGdle turns the slot-machine dopamine of “gacha” rarity rolls into a once-a-day guessing game. A random number is drawn; tiers from Common to Mythic cover the outcome; and everyone in the world faces the same roll that day. Part luck, part odds-reading — the trick is that every tier guess has a price in probability.

Dawn Roll uses the same idea with its own original twist: rarity is distance from the horizon. Every roll lives between two horizons — 0 and 1,000,000 — and the closer it lands to either edge, the rarer it is.

The rarity ladder

Rarity is fully deterministic — no hidden odds table, no “trust us”:

TierRoll is…Rough odds
Mythic within 100 of 0 or 1,000,000 1 in 5,000
Legendary within 1,000 of a horizon 1 in 556
Epic within 10,000 of a horizon 1 in 56
Rare within 50,000 of a horizon 1 in 12.5
Uncommon within 200,000 of a horizon 1 in 3.3
Common comfortably mid-range 3 in 5

“Horizon” means either edge of the 0–1,000,000 range. A roll of 999,962 is 38 from the top horizon — that’s Mythic, and yes, it glows.

How to play Dawn Roll

  1. Read the board. Before anything reveals, you see all six tiers with their odds. This is the entire game — you’re pricing risk.
  2. Call your tier. One shot per day. Safe money says Common (60% of rolls land there); glory says Mythic (1 in 5,000).
  3. Watch the dawn. The number rolls out; its tier lights up. Correct calls grow your streak; misses reset it.
  4. Chase the shine. A Mythic roll upgrades your share card to the gold version — the flex of the format.

Prefer momentum over patience? Ladder mode turns the same rolls into a higher-or-lower chain you can ride all day.

FAQ

Is this the official RNGdle?
No — this is an independent fan page about the genre and its daily habit. The playable game here is Dawn Roll, an original game with its own rarity rules, visuals and wording. The official RNGdle lives on its own site, linked in the disclaimer below.
Can I improve my odds? Isn’t it pure luck?
The roll is pure luck; the guess is odds-reading. Picking Common wins most often; picking Uncommon or Rare is a deliberate gamble on streak value. There’s no skill in the roll itself — that’s rather the point of the ritual.
Does the site look at my rolls?
No. Today’s number comes from a date-seeded calculation that runs in your browser — the same one every visitor runs. Nothing about your play leaves your device.
What’s the rarest roll possible?
0 or 1,000,000 themselves — distance zero. Any roll within 100 of either edge is Mythic, roughly a 1-in-5,000 event.
